WHAT IS IT
JBS, aiming to reinsert producers into the livestock supply chain through environmental regularization of properties and technical and managerial assistance, developed the "JBS Green Offices Program." The project, free of charge to producers, whether or not they are JBS suppliers, has 20 Green Offices units at the following Friboi plants: Marabá, Redenção, Santana do Araguaia, and Tucumã (PA); Porto Velho, São Miguel do Guaporé, Vilhena, and Pimenta Bueno (RO); Rio Branco (AC); Alta Floresta, Barra do Garças, Confresa, Diamantino, Juara, and Pontes e Lacerda (MT); Goiânia and Mozarlândia (GO); Campo Grande and Naviraí (MS); and Araguaína (TO).
In addition to the physical facilities staffed by analysts who welcome producers, collect property information, and provide personalized solutions, the Virtual Green Office was also launched in 2024, aiming to expand the service to producers nationwide. Available via email, phone, and WhatsApp, the service provides initial support and filters and classifies requests to facilitate actions with producers. Since its launch in October 2024, approximately 1,220 interactions have been conducted through the Virtual Green Office.
Since its inception in 2021, the Green Offices program has helped regularize more than 15,000 rural properties, and over 6,000 hectares of land—the equivalent of 8,000 soccer fields—have been designated for forest restoration in four years. The project and its reforestation processes follow guidelines established by state legislation, based on the Forest Code.
In addition to the successful work carried out by the Green Offices, JBS also relied on the Cowbot tool and the Transparent Livestock Platform (PPT) to support livestock farmers. It was also possible to achieve the processing target set forth on the platform – the goal was to reach 78% of animals processed across all Friboi units by 2023, but last year ended with a volume equivalent to 80,72%.
