Green Initiative – Marsh McLennan Brazil

WHAT IS IT

The Green Initiative promotes the planting of trees in degraded biomes in Brazil. Over the three years of the project, we have planted 1,368 trees in the Atlantic Forest and Serra da Mantiqueira.

Marsh McLennan contributed to forest restoration projects in 2021. The planting areas are located in the Serra da Mantiqueira region, in the Atlantic Forest biome. In 2021, 368 seedlings were planted. In 2022, 500 were planted, and in 2023, another 500 were planted, with the possibility of renewing the partnership until 2024. Amigo da Floresta is a voluntary forest restoration program for degraded areas in Brazil. Created in 2008, Amigo da Floresta uses blended finance to facilitate forest restoration in the country.
