WHAT IS IT
Addressing climate challenges and ensuring global food security is a commitment of Cargill and a desire of all.
But to get there together, we need a more resilient and efficient agricultural model, for the rural producer and the entire production chain. It is in this context that we created the regenerative agriculture program, which stimulates the prosperity of Brazilian producers through the adoption of an agricultural production model that regenerates soil biodiversity and the environment, bringing more life and complexity to these production systems.
With ReSolu, agriculture becomes a tool for generating a positive impact on the ecosystem and contributes to our commitment to helping the world prosper, generating benefits for the environment such as reducing greenhouse gases, conserving water resources, and increasing soil health and biodiversity.
Areas of Expertise: Transition (Transition from degraded areas to agriculture) and Management (Regenerative management practices in already established agricultural areas).
ReSolu Portfolio
1. Specialized technical assistance: support for farmers in developing an agronomic plan for adopting regenerative agriculture management practices or for transitioning degraded pastures to agriculture.
2. Input portfolio: cover crop seeds, biologicals for plant nutrition, fertilizer technologies, and crop protection to promote the positive impact of regenerative agriculture.
3. Green finance: long-term financial tools that enable and encourage the expansion of agricultural activity into degraded areas.
4. Carbon measurement: monitoring the positive impact of implementing regenerative agriculture practices through carbon measurement and soil health.
Producers participating in ReSolu are rewarded for adopting regenerative practices through cashback on the purchase of inputs and technologies. A percentage of the value invested in inputs for regenerative management is converted into cashback available for maintaining or expanding the applied management.
